HYMN: All Peoples, Clap Your Hands

This one happened sort of quickly. I was scouting ahead yesterday to see what I'd be working on this morning. I'd already done a text for Psalm 46 (one of my favorite chapters in all of Scripture), so I skipped to look at Psalm 47. An idea sort of popped into my head without any prompting, and I threw this together in about 20 minutes. You can probably tell.

Anyway, this is set to the tune FRANCONIA, which is the tune appointed for "Come, Join in Cana's Feast" (LSB 408). It's a Short Meter text, so there are other options if you're so inclined.

Feedback is lovc.

All Peoples, Clap Your Hands

1. All peoples, clap your hands!
In triumph raise your voice.
The Lord is King o'er all the lands.
Sing praises and rejoice.

2. The Lord Most High is great
To give us victory.
A heritage to celebrate
His loving gift shall be.

3. Our God ascends on high;
The trumpet blast resounds.
"All praise to God," His people cry,
"Whose reign shall know no bounds."

4. The God of Abram praise
Who, seated on His throne,
Will shield us all, His hands upraised.
We lift His name alone.

∆ 5. Lord Jesus, Lamb, our King,
Who wins the victory,
With Father, Spirit: Praise we bring
For all eternity.
